About Us

The Kinsley and Fitzwilliam Learning & Community Centre is a multi purpose centre for community use. The building, which stands on the site of the former Kinsley First School was opened in September 2000 and was funded by the National Lotteries Charities Board, RECHAR and Yorkshire Forward.

The project began when a group of volunteers from the local community identified the need for an education and training facility in the local area. The group, The Kinsley and Fitzwilliam Learning & Community Centre Management Committee secured the necessary funding and turned the former school into the state of the art centre it is today.

The centre now boasts a fully resourced I.T suite, complete with a wide range of assistive technology, managed workspace units, nursery, café, classrooms, sports and community hall, beauty and complementary salon and also provides full conference and meeting facilities at competitive rates. There are excellent road and rail links, secure car parking and it is easily accessible from all surrounding areas.

If you require further information about the centre, The Centre Coordinator, Rachael Lucas can be contacted on 01977 610931 option 1 or email rlucas@kinsley-fitzwilliam.org.uk
